Photographs end most of the chapters to illustrate the destinations. In some cases map reference number links the photograph directly to the location on the map. (ul) and (ll) indicates upper and lower left image while (r) is the image on the right page which can be seen on the next and last page of thje Mrauk U chapter.

'A picture says more than a thousand words' as the saying goes. For this reason over 100 photographs were included in the book to give the traveller and idea how places look like. There are many more images depicting destinations in the ever growing galleries of this webpage.
