| The first page of each chapter shows the map of the destination, in this case a double page with the legend being on the second page.
Maps were all made from scratch using modern technology and hand-drawn sketches plus walking and cycling those roads and paths. No copying of exisiting maps as many other guide books do. Green shows 'green' areas which can be forests but residential quarters with smaller buildings and lots of trees as well. Yellow indicates open ground, usually fields. Light brown indicates build up areas. Wide roads are main roads, smaller ones just regular roads, both can be paved or unpaved. The thinnest ones shown can be anything from narrow single lane roads down to foot paths. |
